Voting results in Rutherford County for all races: Trump has 60% support

Donald Trump won the support of Rutherford County with 88,748 votes to 56,600 for Democrat Kamala Harris, with all 30 voting centers reporting.

The Rutherford County Election Commission will certify the election results in Rutherford at a meeting on Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. at the commission’s office in downtown Murfreesboro.

Ballots in Rutherford County produced 46 candidates, including seven campaigning for president.

Citizens also voted for seats in the federal and state legislatures: U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, District 4, Tennessee Senate District 14and Tennessee House of Representatives for Districts 1334, 37, 48 and 49.

“I want to make my voice heard,” said Murfreesboro voter Karen Daingerfield, who wanted change in national leadership and voted for Republican Donald Trump.

Voters in Rutherford who live within the boundaries of Smyrna, La Vergne and Eagleville will elect candidates to four-year terms for legislative seats in local government: councilors for Smyrna and Eagleville; And aldermen of La Vergne.
