Man dies after crashing into tree in Salem

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man was killed after a car crash on Highway 22E Tuesday morning, according to Salem police.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday, near milepost four.

According to police, witnesses say the car drove off the roadway – on the eastbound on-ramp to Highway 22E – and struck a tree.

One man was killed early Friday morning in a scooter crash in southeast Portland, the Portland Police Bureau said.

Life-saving measures were taken on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was the only one in the car.

The man’s identity has not yet been released and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
