Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback, posted a thought-provoking message on Instagram, seemingly expressing his emotions over ex-wife Gisele Bündchen’s surprise pregnancy.

Brady shared a quote from Theodore Roosevelt: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better… The credit belongs to the man the one who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust, sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who makes mistakes and falls short again and again, because there is no effort without mistakes and shortcomings.

The quote continues, praising those who strive for greatness: “Who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion; who devotes himself to a good cause… If he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly.”

The post comes after Bündchen, 44, and her boyfriend Joaquim Valente were spotted together following news of their pregnancy.

Sources reveal that Brady, 47, was surprised by the announcement after only hearing about it days earlier.

“Tom knew things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin, but he never thought they would have a child together,” says an insider.

“It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele told him the news, he was stunned.”

Brady previously posted cryptic lyrics: “Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?” next to a sunset photo.

According to reports, Brady and Bündchen’s children (Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11) have a positive relationship with Valente, who lives with their mother. Bündchen is said to be “excited to openly embrace this new chapter.”
