Wellsville VFD Announces New Date for Chili Cook Off | News, sports, jobs

WELLSVILLE – The Wellsville Volunteer Chili Cook Off fundraiser, which was canceled Nov. 2 as firefighters from Wellsville VFD and multiple other stations responded to a large brush fire, has been rescheduled for Nov. 17 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Wellsville Fire Station , 1200 Main St.

Volunteer firefighters from Wellsville are still challenging all local firefighters, police, EMTs and the public to break out the chili and see if theirs has what it takes to be called the best.

As originally planned, the event will feature a gun raffle and 50/50 raffle trophies will be awarded for multiple categories.

There is no entrance fee for participants. There is an admission fee of $10 per person, which includes chili samples and a chance to vote for your favorite chili.

Participants must bring their own chili, table and table directions. They can also bring drinks or desserts to sell to raise money for their chapters.

Any craft vendors interested in locating at the event can contact the fire department and let them know. Vendor fees can be paid on the day of the cooking holiday.
