Jake Tapper was shocked to see Harris fail to outperform Biden in a single state – IJR

CNN’s Jake Tapper was shocked after a map showed Vice President Kamala Harris did not outperform President Joe Biden’s 2020 numbers in one state.

On Wednesday, Tapper asked CNN chief correspondent John King if there were any places where Harris outperformed Biden’s 2020 record.

“You asked if there are any places where Vice President Joe Biden is performing better in 2020, so we can show you that too,” King said. “We’re just putting that out here. Harris performs better in 2020.”

The map showed Harris failing to beat Biden anywhere by 3% or more Mediaite.

“Holy smoke!” Tapper responded. “Literally nothing?”

King replied: “Literally nothing.”

Tapper then asked, “Literally nothing. Literally not one province?” to which King responded, the map showed states and not provinces.

The next slide showed that in 58 counties, per Mediaite, Harris outperformed Biden by at least 3%. That was at the time of the broadcast.

Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election early Wednesday by the Associated Press.

Trump will return to the White House after winning Wisconsin, giving him more than the 270 electoral votes needed.
