FIRST WARNING: WEEKEND WATCHING

Hurricane Rafael continues to move through the western Caribbean and is expected to reach the Gulf of Mexico as a hurricane by the end of the week.

Looking into the weekend, several models suggest that rainfall from Rafael could move into the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys, potentially bringing significant rain to those areas.

If the moisture moves further east, we could also look for additional rain chances locally. At this time it appears that the heaviest rain showers will remain in the west and another batch will remain in the southeast.
