The Sublime Silent Hill 2 gets PS5 Pro improvements

Excellent last month Silent Hill 2 remake will be treated to PS5 Pro support as it has been spotted in the game PS store listing now sees a PS5 Pro Enhanced tag. Bloober Team and Konami haven’t yet detailed what those upgrades will be, but we’ve reached out to PR to try to get more information.

On the base PS5 console, Silent Hill 2 offers a Quality mode and Performance mode, with the former using a dynamic 1440p resolution at 30 frames per second and the latter running at 1080p at 60 fps. Neither option is quite perfect, so it’s likely that the PS5 Pro will tidy them both up and possibly offer a PS5 Pro-specific mode that combines the best of both the resolution and frame rate worlds.

Silent Hill 2 is one of a few other PS5 titles that do received the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag today, with others included Cutter head And UFC5. We’ve reached out to Konami PR and will update this article if we hear anything about the specific PS5 Pro improvements.
