WARSAW – OrthoWorx has announced the appointment of Ryan Christner to the role of Executive Director of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative.

“Given Ryan’s progressive career path, which has included a wide range of responsibilities across a number of different disciplines and various roles at a number of our local orthopedic companies, we believe he is an excellent fit for this newly created role at OrthoWorx,” said Bob Vitoux, president and CEO of OrthoWorx. “Ryan is passionate about the industry and has been a supporter and contributor to OrthoWorx through his volunteer involvement in several talent and community-related initiatives over the past decade, which should serve him, the organization and OrthoWorx’s partners well when he settles down. in this new role.”

A lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, Christner is invested in the community where he and his wife are raising their four children. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Grace College and has more than 14 years of experience in the orthopedic industry, serving in positions in operations management, supply chain and logistics.

Christner’s volunteer work has included serving on the OrthoWorx Academy’s Education Workforce Committee and Advisory Board, and earlier this year he traveled abroad with several state leaders as part of the Richard M. Fairbanks-funded iLab initiative, to develop learning models research for young people. in Switzerland. He also coaches youth sports, is president of the local organization Wawasee Ducks Unlimited and volunteers with his church’s youth group. In his spare time, Christner enjoys outdoor adventures.

The Executive Director of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative will oversee the implementation and deployment of the state-funded Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative. In this role, Christner will serve as the primary point of contact for the initiative, working with the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative Visioning Committee, government agencies, industry and business leaders, and other community stakeholders to advance the vision of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative to fulfill. .

In addition to the role of Executive Director of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative, OrthoWorx is actively recruiting for the position of Project Manager of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative, which will serve as a direct report to the Executive Director of the Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative.

OrthoWorx is a local initiative founded in 2009 with initial funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. to fill a void in the sector and serve as a connector for industry, education and the community.
