Silent Hill 2 is the latest title to receive PS5 Pro improvements

The town of Silent Hill is about to get even better.

Silent Hill fans were treated to a real treat last month. It wasn’t that long ago that Konami revealed their plans to bring this franchise IP back into the spotlight. One of the big games that would do this was a remake of the most beloved installment of the series, Silent Hill 2. The game was a hit and proved that Bloober Team has the skills to handle this experience. While we don’t know if there is another one Silent Hill title in the works by this team, it looks like at least an update is planned to bring some improvements to the PlayStation 5 Pro.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is coming soon. We already know that several games will receive updates to take advantage of the power of the new console. However, we can add Silent Hill 2 to that list. This comes from a report by Push Squarewho noticed that Silent Hill 2s The PlayStation Store listing now includes a tag indicating that the game is PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced. What those improvements are at this point, however, is a mystery.

Konami nor The Bloober team has come out to reveal what updates are coming to the game for the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro. However, I’m sure it would deliver better resolution and frames per second. Of course, it was already a fantastic game on the standard PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. Anyway, if you haven’t played this game yet and are picking up a PlayStation 5 Pro, this is probably a title you’ll want to add to your backlog.

Silent Hill 2for those who don’t know, is a survival horror game. Players take on the role of a man named James, who ventures into the town of Silent Hill. It appears that his presumed dead wife is still alive and waiting for him somewhere in town. However, it’s clear that there’s more to come in this deserted city once you start venturing into it. Players can pick up a copy of this game for the PC and PlayStation 5 platforms.
