In an interview clip that surfaced online, Ananya recalled her school days with Sara and explained, “There was always this kind of myth, that Sara Ali Khan… so I actually hid from her at school because I was terrified. As if she is muhfat, as she now says. But at school she looked even more like muhfat and said everything. So I was always like, ‘she’s going to say something about me’.” Despite this, Ananya clarified that Sara never bullied her but shared a funny memory of their school play. ‘Sara didn’t even know my name. She just called me, ‘Yes girl, come here,'” Ananya laughed.
