Mike Davis

Mike Davisa Republican lawyer elected president Donald Trump reportedly considering a candidate to be attorney general in his second administration, celebrated Trump’s election Wednesday with combative and even disturbing rhetoric.

“Fuck unity,” Davis declared on X, formerly Twitter. “We have the votes. And they tried to kill Trump.”

In a follow-up post, Davis said:

This is my current mood: I want to drag their dead political bodies through the streets, burn them and throw them off the wall. (Legally, politically and financially of course.)

Davis has also, in the hours since Trump won the presidential election, declared that “America is not worthy of Trump,” and urged both Special counsel Jac Smith and former Republican congressman Liz Cheney to ‘get a lawyer’.

The lawyer’s anger on social media is sure to fuel concerns about how Trump’s second administration could target his political enemies. Especially since the president-elect himself has suggested that Davis could be the right person to lead the Justice Department during his second term.
