UPDATE: Body found in Faribault County identified as Albert Lea man – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on a body found in Wells earlier this month.

The victim’s body was found at a rural property in the 14000 section of 540th Avenue in rural Wells (Walnut Lake Township), Minnesota, authorities said Wednesday.

According to a news release, the victim has been identified as Miguel Angel Chavez-Lopez, a 54-year-old man from Albert Lea.

The manner of death is reportedly still confirmed as a homicide, the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office added in the news release.

The incident remains under active investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office. It is getting help from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

(ABC 6 News) – On November 1 around 11:46 p.m., the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a body found at a property in rural Wells, MN.

When officers arrived on scene, officers discovered the body.

According to a press release from FCSO, the death is being treated as a homicide and is being investigated by FCSO with assistance from MN BCA.

The identity of the deceased is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
