CHP investigates fatal motorcycle crash on Honey Run Road

BUTTE CREEK CANYON, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Honey Run Road near Centerville Road Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. as the rider, driving a 2007 Harley Davidson, was traveling north on Honey Run Road. For reasons still under investigation, CHP said the motorcycle left the road, overturned and ejected the rider.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 42-year-old man from Magalia, suffered fatal injuries. The CHP is investigating whether distracted driving or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
