Westbound lane of LaSalle Avenue temporarily closed during the day

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Here’s a traffic alert you’ll want to know if you’re driving in downtown South Bend.

The westbound lane of LaSalle Avenue, from Niles Avenue to Sycamore Street, will be closed until this Friday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

AEP will install new electricity cables during the closure.

Westbound traffic will detour south on Niles Avenue, west on Colfax Avenue to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

If you go east it will not affect your journey.
