Crash in Hancock County claims one life, others are injured

HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. – One person is dead after a three-vehicle crash on US 30 in Hancock County.

According to Chester Chief Charles Stanley, the wreck happened near the intersection of Taylor Road just before 7:30 p.m.

A vehicle was traveling in the eastbound lane when it entered the westbound lane and collided with two other vehicles.

The driver of the car that crossed the lane was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.

The drivers of the two other vehicles were transported to area hospitals.
