Passengers protest twice against the cancellation of the same flight at Bhubaneswar airport

BHUBANESWAR: Several passengers protested at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) on Thursday after a flight to Hyderabad was canceled twice. Many passengers expressed frustration, stating that the cancellations had disrupted their work schedules.
The affected passengers reported that their private aviation service from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad was initially canceled on March 13. Despite being informed of a rescheduled flight for the next day, they were faced with another cancellation, causing significant inconvenience.
The travelers expressed frustration over the lack of communication from airport officials about the specific reasons behind these back-to-back cancellations.
BPIA director Prasanna Pradhan explained that technical issues caused delays in the arrival of the aircraft from Hyderabad on March 14.
“The flight landed at Bhubaneswar at 11.15 am on Thursday and was ready to fly to its destination. Safety is the first and foremost priority in case of technical glitches and passengers must accept the delay,” Pradhan said.
