Orangeburg Co. Schools are closed that day due to weather conditions

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County School District has canceled school due to weather conditions caused by heavy rains and flash flooding.

A news release from the district’s communications department said all schools in the Orangeburg County School District will be closed Thursday due to ongoing weather issues, dangerous road conditions and the conditions some buildings have been left in.

The district emphasized that it would continue to monitor conditions and provide further updates as necessary.

“Please stay safe and thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” a news release said.
