Drug-driving arrest after boy seriously injured in crash in Bradford

The collision happened on Undercliffe Old Road in Bradford on Wednesday evening

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a 10-year-old boy was hit by a car and seriously injured.

The boy collided with a gray Mercedes on Undercliffe Old Road in Bradford just before 8:20pm GMT on Wednesday.

West Yorkshire Police said he was taken to hospital with serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
