Chicago Police has released three photos of a wanted man shooting two former colleagues Tuesday at Navy Pier.

A CPD community alert described the suspect as a black male, 6 feet tall, 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect has been on the run since the shooting occurred Tuesday around 1:17 p.m.

Around 1:30 p.m., first responders poured into Navy Pier after police said an ex-employee of a subcontractor opened fire on his former coworkers after gaining entry through a loading dock near the Sable Hotel.

People were asked to take shelter while the pier was closed.

Police were still looking for the shooter on Thursday.

The employees who died worked for Levy Restaurants, a hospitality and catering company.

In a statement, the company referred to them as “family members.”

“We are absolutely devastated. Our hearts break for their families and loved ones, whose lives have been forever changed,” the statement said.

Levy Restaurants is a partner of Navy Pier, providing food and beverage options for events and venues.

Police say they believe this is an isolated incident.
