65-year-old woman arrested for attempted murder in Dare County

DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Officers say a woman is behind bars after an attempted murder in an Eastern Carolina county.

The Dare County Sheriff says deputies responded to a crash on the 52700 block of Highway 12 in Frisco yesterday around 8:20 p.m. One person was taken to the Outer Banks hospital with injuries.

Deputies say Susan Myers of Catonsville, Maryland was charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon/with intent to kill/inflict serious injury, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Myers, 65, is being held in the Dare County Jail under a $75,000 bond.
