Primary school employee accused of sexually abusing boys: authorities

A former elementary school employee already accused by Wisconsin authorities of sexually assaulting a child is facing additional criminal charges after investigators identified more alleged victims.

Anna-Marie Crocker, 33, was charged in an amended form criminal complaint filed Nov. 1 in Kenosha County Circuit Court with exposure of genitalia, exposing a child to harmful material, child enticement and exposing a child to harmful descriptions, according to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.

The charges come less than a month after Crocker, who worked at Riverview Elementary School in Silver Lake, Wisconsin, was charged with first-degree child sexual abuse: sexual intercourse with a child under 13, possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation. of a child – filming, according to the initial criminal complaint filed Oct. 14 in Kenosha County Circuit Court and shared by prosecutors.

It is unclear whether Crocker has entered pleas and PEOPLE could not immediately identify an attorney who could speak on her behalf. Prison records show she is being held on $500,000 bond.

The alleged victims connected to Crocker’s original case were current and former students of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department elementary school. said in a statement last month. Authorities added that the alleged misconduct did not occur during school hours or on school grounds.

According to the criminal complaint, a deputy was called to a home in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, on October 8, where the caller claimed his 13-year-old son “had been forced to have sex with his friend’s mother. ”

The 13-year-old alleged the assault occurred in the winter when he was at Crocker’s home for a sleepover with some friends, according to the complaint. The boy claimed he was sleeping on the couch in the basement when Crocker, who was naked, woke him up and took off his pants before sexually assaulting him, the complaint said.

The boy, who was 12 years old at the time, said the sexual encounter was non-consensual, the complaint said. He also allegedly told investigators that he repeatedly told Crocker to get out and tried to push her away, but she wouldn’t listen, the complaint said.

The boy said Crocker texted him months after the alleged incident in which he tried to apologize for what happened in the basement and described her as “trying to make him feel guilty,” according to the complaint.

Authorities further alleged in the complaint that Crocker “exchanged sexual chats and photos” with another child via Snapchat. The alleged victim reported this to a school employee on October 9.

The child also alleged that Crocker sexually assaulted him in a parking lot in August. Crocker allegedly admitted to receiving a sexual video of the boy and storing it, authorities said in the complaint.

The new allegations in the amended complaint accuse Crocker of having sexually inappropriate conversations with two other boys via Snapchat. On Oct. 10, Twin Lakes police spoke with a boy who told a school staff member that Crocker was sending him “weird” messages, including videos of herself masturbating with a sex toy and sexual photos.

The alleged victim said the pair talked for about two weeks and he eventually blocked Crocker after she said she “liked” that he was 13 years old, according to the complaint. The complaint states the boy said he became “scared” because of what allegedly happened to his friend, who claimed Crocker raped him.

Authorities searched Crocker’s cellphone and found several videos and photos similar to those the boy described, the complaint said. During that search, investigators said they also found a conversation between Crocker and another boy she added on Snapchat on Oct. 9 after “seeing him on his high school homecoming float,” according to the complaint.

Crocker allegedly asked the boy if he wanted to have sex with her and the two planned to meet at her home on Oct. 11, according to the complaint. The boy alleged that he and Crocker exchanged messages that “inferred sex” but that he “never went through with it,” according to the complaint.

Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said earlier Crocker was an employee of Riverview Elementary School. According to local channel WITIthe school district website stated that Crocker began working as a substitute teacher in 2020 and became a full-time teacher’s assistant the following year.

WHITE and WISN report that Crocker was fired by the school board after a special meeting on Oct. 14. As of Nov. 7, there will no longer be a staff page for Crocker on the school district’s website.
