Trump lawyer Mike Davis threatens Letitia James with jail time in fiery podcast rant

An advocate for President Trump and possible pick for attorney general has gone full nuclear in a verbal attack on New York State Attorney General Letitia James during a podcast, warning her of any idea she has about filing of a file. additional criminal charges against the president-elect.

“To the great Letitia James, let me say this. I challenge you to try to continue your legal practice against President Trump,” Mike Davis said during his appearance The Benny Show. “Listen, honey, this time we’re not going to mess around, and we’re going to put your fat ass in jail for conspiring against rights.”

The blunt message for Ms. James is aimed at Mr. Davis — known as a legal rabble-rouser who has pulled no punches in recent years in his impassioned defense of Trump on X and elsewhere.

“Mike Davis was a regular Republican, Federalist Society lawyer, right? Standard stuff. Played by the rules. Helped get guys confirmed, could play hard but painted within the lines,” Stephen Bannon said Political magazine last month. “(Now) he’s a complete MAGA warrior.”

The aggressive lawyer has a history of showing no pressure in his support of Trump, making crude jokes about locking up “children in cages” and throwing political rivals into “the gulag.” He has also called Democrats “Marxists” and “evil.”

GOP fundraiser Caroline Wren told Politico that the new president-elect is a big fan of Mr. Davis, the founder of the legal advocacy group the Article III Project. “Donald Trump loves him,” she said. “If he’s not the attorney general, he’s going to have some kind of role.”

Regardless of position, Mr. Davis has said he promises to “rain hell” on Washington if he is given a role in the incoming Trump administration. Mr Davis, who often calls himself Mr Trump’s viceroy, appears to be in retaliation mode, posting further comments about Ms James on his X-page.

“Big Tish James needs to step away from the cameras and really think about how she broke the law by weaponizing the justice system against her political enemies,” he wrote in one message Thursday. “This is not a game these Democratic prosecutors want to play with the new Trump administration.”

He also expressed his desire to go after others in Washington who opposed President Trump. “This is my current mood,” he said wrote on X the morning after the election. ‘I want to drag their dead political bodies through the streets, burn them and throw them off the wall. (Legally, politically and financially of course.)”
