Bay Minette PD arrests 46-year-old man accused of inappropriate relationship with child

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) – A 46-year-old man is facing several charges stemming from allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a child under the age of 16.

Bay Minette police, assisted by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Fernandius Lamar Lowman on Thursday.

After receiving a complaint in early October from a guardian of a minor child about the alleged inappropriate relationship, Bay Minette police said the investigation found sufficient evidence to move forward. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for two counts of second-degree sodomy and one count of electronic solicitation of a minor child.

Lowman is being held until a bail hearing is scheduled.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
