Former city employee pleads guilty to grand theft

ROCHESTER, NY – A former City of Rochester employee has pleaded guilty to grand larceny.

Investigators say Anthony Hall was a volunteer for the Coalition of North East Associations, or CONEA, a nonprofit organization that tackles issues such as crime, housing and youth development. They say he used a CONEA debit card to transfer money to his own money app for almost a year, without the organization’s knowledge.

Hall is sentenced to a year and a half in prison and must pay more than $33,000 in restitution.
