• Westcott Designs has reimagined the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser as a Baja-ready racer.
  • Upgrades include a new multi-link suspension, Fox shock absorber and 37-inch Toyo tires.
  • The upgraded 4×4 is currently on display at Toyota’s SEMA booth in Las Vegas.

Plenty dramatic Toyota Landcruisers are on display at SEMA this year, and this one, brought to life by Westcott Designs, is one of the most eye-catching. The vision for the 4×4 was to make it a true racing machine that could conquer the Baja 500 while still retaining many of the features of the standard model.

Starting with a 2024 Land Cruiser First Edition, Westcott’s team gave it a fresh lick of gloss black paint that was then adorned with a satin PPF, giving the SUV this unique exterior finish. The tuner then installed a set of 17-inch Innovate Racing G700 wheels with a gold finish, which contrasted beautifully with the Toyota paint. These wheels are wrapped in 37-inch Toyo Open Country NTR Desert Race tires.

There are plenty of other gold-colored parts on the outside, including the exterior badges and screws. The new multi-link suspension with Fox shocks promises to transform the way the 4×4 drives on public roads and there are new upper and lower links machined from machined aluminium, also anodised gold. At the front there is an incredible 22 inches of travel, while at the rear there is 18 inches of travel. Skid plates have also been installed to protect the underside.

Lighting is another area in which Westcott did not hold back. Like a legitimate Baja competitor, it was important to ensure the Land Cruiser had lights that could illuminate the area in front of it. Seven 6-inch LED off-road lights are mounted on the roof, while a further five 6-inch lights are mounted under the grille. A new fuel cell contributes to the… Land cruisers competition references and includes fuel fillers on both sides.

The range of adjustments is completed by the new Sparco Evo S QRT racing seats with five-point belts and finished in leather with gold stitching.
