Santa Fe College student arrested after being found with a gun on campus

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Santa Fe College student was arrested on campus today after he was found carrying a firearm.

21-year-old Jordan Tucker is facing charges after campus police received an anonymous tip through the “See Something, Say Something” reporting portal.

He was arrested outside a classroom, which also caused the charter school on campus, Santa Fe College Academy, to be put on hold for about 25 minutes.

Police found two handguns in Tucker’s backpack.
