Haryana CM announces free cataract surgeries in all government recognized private hospitals

The number of calls received in Haryana has increased to 1,700 per day.

An official spokesperson said the state government has set a target of increasing the number of calls to 7,000 per day. Currently, the number of outpatient clinic (OPD) visits in Haryana is around 1 lakh per day.

The CM also ordered to suspend the operation of Agarwal Nursing Home in Kurukshetra for allegedly charging money from a patient undergoing treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. About 45 lakh eligible families will get health insurance 5 lakh per family per year in Haryana. There are 1,227 chartered hospitals in the state, including 502 public and 725 private hospitals.

Dashboard for real-time equipment information

The CM directed to set up a digital inventory portal linked to the CM dashboard on a priority basis. The portal provides real-time information on the availability of medical equipment such as ICUs, ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, CT scanners and more. He also directed to ensure round-the-clock availability of cardiologists and other related staff in the catheterization centers of government hospitals. The CM said a comprehensive plan should be formulated to ensure that every district hospital is equipped with an ICU. Six hospitals are currently operational.

The CM was told that there are currently 15 medical colleges in the state and six new nursing colleges are being built.
