Kim Kardashian labeled ‘out of touch’ for exuberant Skims holiday campaign after the presidential election

Kim Kardashian has been labeled ‘out of touch’ for debuting her lavish Skims holiday campaign just a day later former President Donald Trump was confirmed as the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

The festive advertising video features Goldie Hawn and her children Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, along with their respective children and partners, all wearing the clothing brand’s matching pajama sets.

Kate was accompanied by her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, and their 6-year-old daughter, Rani. The actress’s two sons, Ryder, 20, and Bingham, 13, from her previous relationships were also involved.

Meanwhile, Oliver’s wife, Erinn Bartlett, modeled the holiday-themed sleepwear with their sons, Wilder, 17, and Bodhi, 14, and their daughter, Rio, 11.

Fans are condemning Kim Kardashian for posting her lavish Skims holiday campaign one day after the 2024 presidential election.

The famous family was seen dancing happily around a large dining room while passing desserts and mingling in a kitchen fully stocked with lobster, shrimp and other luxurious dishes.

However, the luxurious set design and timing of the promotion did not sit well with some people.

“Girl please. No contact at all,” said one angry fan commented on Instagram Thursday.

The ad features Goldie Hawn and her children Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson with their respective families in matching pajama sets.
The unisex sleepwear costs $120, while a similar set costs $90.

“I love you Kim, but now is not the time,” said another added.

A third person suggested the “Kardashians” star, 44, should “Read the room”, while a fourth person agreed“Tone deaf as always.”

“Meanwhile, most people can’t afford groceries ,” another discouraged user wrote.

One upset user called Kardashian “tone deaf” over the timing, while another wrote, “Now is not the time.”
“Meanwhile, most people can’t afford groceries ,” a third person responded on Instagram.

Although Skims advertises the family pajamas as ‘matching lounge sets for the ultimate Christmas card’, the price isn’t exactly cheap.

The adult Unisex sleeping set retails for $120 on the brand’s website, while the Long sleep set costs $90.

The matching one Baby onesie and the Children’s sleep set are priced at $28 and $38 respectively.

Page Six reached out to Kardashian’s rep for comment on the response.
