Police in Duluth, Minnesota are conducting an active investigation after discovering the deaths of five people in two separate homes West Duluth on Thursday at approximately 2:10 p.m

A news release shows Duluth police responded to a welfare check call in the 6000 block of Tacony Street, where they found a 47-year-old woman and a dead juvenile inside.

After investigating, they were able to identify a suspect who was located at a home in the 4400 block of West 6th Street.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of the victims involved in this tragic event. This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the release said. “A press conference is expected to take place tomorrow. More details will be released at a later date.”
