Eric Swalwell makes a serious plea for Americans who are ‘fighting’ against the threat of Trump

Rep. Erik Swalwell (D-Calif.) urged Americans in an urgent message Thursday not to give up after the president-elect Donald Trump‘s election victory.

“Let’s be loud and get going, because as a young woman in Florida, where… six-week ban is now the law of the land, can stand up today and make her way, so can we,” said the California representative in an interview with Ben Meiselas for the progressive MeidasTouch Network.

He continued: “And if a soldier in a trench in eastern Ukraine, who has just seen his best ally run away from them, can keep fighting, so can we. And if a high school student today goes to school in a country that will do the same arm mass shooters to the teeth and they are still getting through it, so are we.”

Swalwell, who previously called on supporters to do so don’t go “quietly”. after Kamala Harris‘ loss, emphasized that it is “crap” to lose before turning his attention to Trump.

“I hate what this winner says about our country and the people who make it great, but we have work to do,” Swalwell said.

“We’ve dealt with this guy before. He is a one-term president. He is in severe cognitive decline. We are not helpless, we are privileged to be among those who can do something.”

“There will be a lot of action on the field, so we should be upset, but let’s put on our helmets, get back on the field and defend the distance between us and Project 2025 so that it becomes the law of the land,” said he.
