18-year-old killed in Lansing shooting late Thursday night

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – An 18-year-old man was killed after being shot late Thursday night in Lansing.

According to Lansing police, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Sadie Court on Thursday around 11:45 p.m. for reports of a possible shooting.

When they arrived on scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders provided medical aid before transporting the man to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police said no one has been arrested so far and officers do not believe this was a random act.

This is an active investigation. Police are investigating the sequence of events and details of the incident.
