Motorcyclist dies in van crash in Larbert as police appeal for witnesses

A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a van in Falkirk as police appealed for more witnesses.

Officers were called to Bellsdyke Road at the junction with Kincardine Road in Larbert at around 11.50am on Thursday to reports of the collision.

The 67-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the van driver was uninjured.

The road was closed for about six hours while officers investigated.

The precise circumstances are being investigated and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Traffic Police Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died. We will continue to provide them with support as our investigation continues.

“We have already spoken to a number of witnesses, but I would like to appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has information that could assist our investigation.

“Similarly, if you have dashcam footage from Bellsdyke Road at around 11.50am yesterday, please review it and bring anything of interest to our attention.”
