Police officer accused of taking sexually explicit selfies while on duty in uniform

PC Ian Whitmill is said to have made several explicit statements selfies between October 2022 and March this year while working for British Transport Police.

It is claimed that PC Whitmill took numerous selfies, including images of his penis and video recordings of solo sexual acts while on duty and in uniform.

It is said that he “sexting messages” and sexually explicit selfie images to “third parties” during this period.

A misconduct notice outlines that PC is accused of “improper use of police equipment” while taking the photos and videos.

And he also faces claims of extreme ownership pornography with bestiality and posting messages in a ‘swinging’ chat group while on duty in 2023.

PC Whitmill is accused of breaching “the standards of professional conduct in relation to disgraceful conduct and duties and responsibilities”.

An accelerated misconduct hearing will take place at the British Transport Police base in London Bridge on Friday.

If found guilty of serious misconduct, he could be dismissed from the force.
