18-year-old killed in shooting, police say

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Lansing police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead Thursday evening.

The incident happened around 11:45 p.m., and investigators say they found the 18-year-old with a gunshot wound on the 600 block of Sadie Court.

Lansing police told 6 News that when they arrived on scene, they discovered the 18-year-old had been in a car accident. They suspect that the suspect fled in another car.

Police say no arrests have been made and this incident remains under investigation as they gather more information to determine the sequence of events.
