Two arrested after armed robbery in Kentucky and truck theft

A police investigation into armed robbery suspects that began in Kentucky ended in a police chase and a crash in Jennings County.

According to Indiana State Police, Indiana dispatchers were contacted Wednesday evening around 10:40 p.m. by deputies from Bullitt County, Kentucky, who asked Indiana troopers to look for two suspects in a stolen pickup believed to be in Scottsburg found. Scottsburg police and Scott County deputies found the suspects in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. And when the suspects saw the officers, they took off, eventually driving north on State Road 3 toward Jefferson and then into Jennings counties at nearly 100 mph.

Troopers used a maneuver to run the truck off the road near County Road 650S. The driver, 45-year-old Daniel York of Evansville, tried to run away but was caught by Austin Police Department officers. A passenger, 62-year-old Everett Kline of Wheelersburg, Ohio, was taken into custody.

Both had outstanding warrants and are facing charges of possession of stolen property and a stolen vehicle. York is also charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle in danger, reckless driving injuring a passenger and operating a vehicle while impaired.
