Akron police are investigating a deadly dispute that left one person dead

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – One man was fatally shot in Akron after a dispute Thursday evening, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to the medical examiner’s office, a 29-year-old man was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect in a parking lot on West Long Street around 7:53 p.m.

According to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, the shooting occurred after a dispute.

The 29-year-old was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead around 9:57 p.m.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said it will provide an update on the incident once a positive identification is made.
