The Pokemon Unite China release has one feature that is much needed worldwide

Pokémon Unite fans are baffled as the new China-only version is already miles ahead of the global release.

Although Pokemon Unite originally launched in 2021, the free to play game has only just made its way to China. The popular MOBA game offers the same team-based gameplay and colorful critters as the global version, but comes with a major addition that fans have been wanting since launch.

One user posted on X, sharing gameplay clips from a social hub exclusive to the Chinese version of the game. This location serves as a space where players can interact with each other before the match, unleash their Pokemon, and even perform Fortnite-like emotes.

As if that weren’t enough, there are even mini-games that Trainers can play between matches. YouTuber CrisHelden found that players can take part in a series of arcade-style mini-games ranging from basketball to archery.

There even seem to be daily quests tailored to the social center, further encouraging community interaction outside of combat. It doesn’t stop there though, as one of the best features is the ability to have your chosen Pokemon follow you, like with the main titles.

Players can even customize their own trainer cards, using a variety of Pokemon, cute poses, and even team up with other Trainers for group photos. These quality of life improvements have quickly caught the attention of the global community, with many calling on developers to add these changes.

“I hope they add this to the world because this is awesome,” one player wrote. “It may sound strange to say, but having in-game lobbies where players can interact with each other between matches will definitely help ramp up players,” replied another.

It remains uncertain whether the developers will add a social hub to the global version of Pokemon Unite, but for now the Chinese release is miles ahead.
