“In the first presidential election since then DobbsAmericans have rejected the Democrats’ no-limits abortion agenda. The Democrats led by Kamala Harris and Tim Walz went ‘all in’ on abortion as their main issue. In the general election alone, they spent more than half a billion dollars on ads attacking pro-life Republicans and claiming restrictions on killing women through abortion. Their lies failed,” she said.

Referring to Harris’ comments during an interview last month in which she said she does not support religious exceptions to a nationwide abortion mandate, Dannenfelser noted: “Millions learned the truth that Democrats would force Americans to pay for and share engage in abortions against their will. will, without exception, allow even babies who survive botched abortions to die.”

Dannenfelser added: “SBA Pro-Life America’s primary goal for this cycle was to deny Democrats the opportunity to pass a national abortion mandate for all trimesters and sweep away protections for babies and women in all 50 states. As the abortion lobby flooded the airwaves with disinformation, our team went to work – making four million visits to persuadable, low-turnout voters in eight battleground states and reaching a total of ten million voters to expose Democrats’ extremism set.”

“Time and time again, these crucial conversations change minds and change the votes that make the difference in close elections. We did it,” she added.

In continuation comments On Wednesday night on still lost the presidency, the Senate and possibly the House.” Dannenfelser described “their extreme abortion agenda” as “out of step with Americans” and asserted that “most Americans support early, reasonable limits on abortion.”

“In the first presidential election since Dobbs, it is clear that aborting our nation’s children is not the galvanizing issue that Democrats and the mainstream media insisted it would be,” she concluded.

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias offered a similar analysis in a statement react to Trump’s victory. “Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and the Democratic Party have taken the most extreme abortion position, including support for unlimited abortions during pregnancy. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz support abortion always, everywhere and under all circumstances,” she claimed.

“Backed by the abortion industry and its allies, Harris and Walz campaigned against abortion with fanatical passion – and voters rejected them,” Tobias explained. “National Right to Life looks forward to working with newly elected President Trump, newly elected Vice President Vance and the newly elected pro-life Congress on policy initiatives to protect the lives of unborn children and provide resources for mothers and new parents. ”

Chelsea Youmannational legislative advisor at the network of pro-life pregnancy centers, Human Coalition Action, characterized the election results as a “clear rejection of an extreme abortion agenda.” Youman stated: “After years of abortion propaganda and lies, tonight’s election reminds us that the American heart embraces the truth. Now the hard work begins to build a hopeful future for children in the womb and their mothers.”

“The extreme abortion politics of the Harris-Walz ticket were out of touch with Americans. They pushed for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand throughout pregnancy, wanted to provide protections for babies who survive abortions, and vowed to force health care workers to perform abortions against their conscientious beliefs.”

The 2024 election had major consequences for abortion policy in the US. Had Harris won the election and Democrats gained full control of the federal government, legislation establishing a federal right to abortion nationwide would likely have become law. As the pro-life activists emphasized in their responses to the election results, such a measure would have had the effect of protection for life implemented by states after the Dobbs decision.

When the results of the 2024 election are released, it appears that Republicans will have full control of the federal government. In addition to the presidency, Republicans have secured control of the U.S. Senate. Partisan control of the U.S. House of Representatives will depend on the outcome of a handful of undecided races.
