T-Mobile’s satisfaction survey shows that the carrier has work to do

T Mobile Tuesdays become T Life

Mobile carriers, like any other business, evolve over time. Executives come and go, priorities are reevaluated, and just because one carrier may have been the best choice for you when you got your first smartphone over a decade ago doesn’t mean it’s necessarily still the best choice. right choice of carrier for you today.

We were just thinking about this in the context of T-Mobileperhaps the dirtiest and most exciting (if that word even applies to wireless network providers) player among the big three in the US. At least, that’s the reputation it’s managed to build in many of our minds, but is it still a reputation it’s earned today, or is it more of a relic of better, more competitive times?

For better or worse, T-Mobile still has some pretty attractive benefits, even if they tend to be more restrictive these days than they were a few years ago. Our own C. Scott Brown, a longtime T-Mobile user, has listed the pros and cons of sticking with the carrier, and weighing them for himself, saw plenty of reasons to stay. But not everyone’s needs will be the same, so we put the question to you, and our results are now in:

Are you still loyal to T-Mobile?

Among respondents who are T-Mobile users, we see a fairly even split between those who are still very happy with the provider of their choice and those who are simply satisfied with it. However, together with subscribers currently looking for a new provider, this means that more than half of customers are not completely satisfied with the company.

Diving into the comments, we see many ex-T-Mobile users who have moved on to literally greener pastures and are now shouting the praises of Coin Mobile. MVNOs generally get a lot of love, and we see a few converts too Visible.

Those of you who came to share your support for T-Mobile continue to point to the great customer support as a real standout compared to AT&T or Verizon. That’s certainly a factor that will weigh heavily on certain subscribers, but we also wonder how often most users will actually need to take advantage of it.

With MVNOs and alternative carriers looking increasingly attractive, T-Mobile likely can’t rest on its laurels if it wants to stay competitive. And while it clearly still has many fans, loyalty only goes so far.
