Elderly man crossing the street in a wheelchair was seriously injured in a collision in North Hollywood

Police inside North Hollywood are looking for the driver responsible for seriously injuring an elderly man in a crash.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened around 1 a.m. on Nov. 4 on Lankershim Boulevard.

At that time, officers said a dark sedan traveling south on Lankershim toward Erwin Street struck a man in a wheelchair who was crossing the street.

The driver left the man on the street. Paramedics took him to hospital with serious injuries. Officers said they believe they are looking for a dark gray or black sedan with crash damage to the bumper and front of the hood on the driver’s side.
