Maine doctor accused of running a massage parlor as a front for prostitution

YARMOUTH, Maine — A Yarmouth doctor is accused of sex trafficking and investigators say he ran an illegal massage business.

Peter O’Donnell, 68, of Yarmouth, was arrested Thursday morning after police served a search warrant at his doctor’s office.

Police also searched his massage business, A. Envy, in Freeport at the same time.

They say the business was a front for prostitution, with O’Donnell recruiting and employing people to provide sexual services for clients.

During the searches Thursday, authorities identified two people suspected of being victims of human trafficking.

O’Donnell’s bail was set at $25,000 and his arraignment is scheduled for January 7.
