The firefighter expects things to go well after the injury while fighting the fire in the structure

According to Lt. Jason Randall of the Stanton Fire Department, the injured firefighter will have some bruising, but he has been released and is now resting at home.

Officials told LEX 18 that one firefighter was injured Friday while battling a fire on Caudill Road in Powell County.

According to officials, several fire departments were on scene and a home quickly went up in flames. However, authorities said no one was home at the time.

Officials said it took nearly an hour to bring the fire under control, during which an “O2 device” reportedly exploded in the home near the injured firefighter.
