Pedestrian seriously injured in West Hartford crash

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash in West Hartford.

Police say the pedestrian was struck by a car in the area of Oakwood Avenue and Saint James Street around 5:06 p.m.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

They have not yet been identified, but police say they are adults.

Oakwood Avenue is closed between Seymour Avenue and Kane Street.

The closure is expected to last several hours as police investigate.
