66-year-old missing woman found in floodwaters, Orangeburg Co. deputies say

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says the missing woman who drove into Orangeburg Thursday afternoon has been found dead.

Valerie Goff, 66, was reported missing after being reported Friday during a trip to the Walgreens on John C. Calhoun Drive the day before. Investigators learned she never made it to Walgreens.

“We ask for prayers for this family,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “If you know them, please give them your comfort and support.”

Her Nissan Cube was discovered in floodwaters near Glover and Andrews streets, according to spokesman Richard Walker.
