Arch Manning wears a Johnny Manziel-inspired ‘Scooby-Doo’ Halloween costume

Arch Manning wears a Johnny Manziel-inspired ‘Scooby-Doo’ Halloween costume

A week away from Halloween, costumed photos of athletes are still gaining popularity.

However, one in particular caught the former’s attention Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel. Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning was seen at a party wearing a full-body Scooby-Doo suit.

“Lock up, dude,” the photo captioned.

Twelve years earlier, Manziel wore a similar costume that made waves on the Internet when a photo surfaced of him with two women. Perhaps it’s the obvious similarity that caught his attention.

“It gives me a pretty good idea of what Arch does off the court,” Manziel said of Manning. “This guy is having a great time at college, and that’s great to see.”

Manziel then praised Manning for stepping out of his comfort zone — though he noted that Peyton and Eli Manning’s cousin was a little more “ducked in” than he was — and encouraged him to continue enjoying his time in college.

So far this season, Manning has thrown 58-for-84 for 920 yards and nine touchdowns. He has only appeared in five games, but with current Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, he will take on a much bigger role for the rest of his time in Austin.

It’s no surprise how much Manziel enjoyed his time in College Station, and based on Manning’s Halloween antics, it seems like the redshirt freshman might as well.

And Manziel is the biggest proponent of that.

“Go out there and have some fun,” the Aggies quarterback said. “Scooby-Doo is a great choice.”
