Mobile man gets 77 months in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl and assaulting a federal officer

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA– A federal judge recently sentenced a Mobile man to nearly six and a half years in prison for trafficking in fentanyl and assaulting a federal law enforcement officer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama announced Friday.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele imposed a 77-month prison sentence on the 27-year-old on October 29 Christopher Teague on the two charges.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.

Court documents revealed that from approximately July to approximately December 2023, Teague conspired with others to distribute fentanyl throughout Mobile. While attempting to flee from law enforcement, Teague crashed his vehicle head-on into an FBI vehicle carrying two special agents and a task force officer.

Following his prison sentence, Teague will serve five years of supervised release.

Teague was the subject of one FOX10 Fugitive Files episode in November 2023 in connection with a shooting.
