Boy, 14, admits to sexually assaulting 91-year-old woman in her Florida home

A 14-year-old boy has admitted to sexually assaulting a 91-year-old victim Florida At home.

Jesse Stone pleaded guilty in connection with the case WKMG. He had initially pleaded not guilty.

Stone will be sentenced as an adult next month. It is unclear what maximum sentence awaits him.

According to the report, the victim woke up on June 9 to find Stone in her home in Reddick, Florida. She was then beaten and sexually assaulted.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where she told police Stone jumped her and punched her in the face, the report said. He then fled the scene.

The same day as the attack, Stone approached officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and told them that a neighbor had found “something” on their surveillance video. When officers viewed the video, the suspect resembled Stone.

A week later, Stone was arrested on charges of sexual assault burglary.

“This kind of unimaginable violence is still shocking to me after all my years in law enforcement. The Reddick community has shown its resilience and support for us and their community through all of this,” Sheriff Billy Woods said after the arrest.

“It came as a shock that someone would commit such an act against a 91-year-old, but it is truly disturbing considering the young age of the detainee. While I firmly believe he should be held accountable for his crime, my condolences as a father go out to his family. Hopefully his arrest will lead to him receiving help that will prevent further such acts.”
