Jefferson County detectives conduct a narcotics and weapons seizure in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office vice and narcotics detectives have arrested a man following a seizure of narcotics and weapons.

On November 5, detectives received a complaint in the Center Point area regarding narcotic activity. While investigating the area of Huffman Road and Center Point Parkway, police stopped a black Honda Accord for traffic violations.

Police arrested 26-year-old Trayveon McBride and found a Glock along with oxycodone, hydrocodone and marijuana.

McBride has been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, trafficking in drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police set his total bail at $28,000.
