The City of Hickory is hosting its 7th annual Hickory Pick’N Day

HICKORY, Miss. (WTOK) – On Saturday, Hickory celebrated its 7th annual Hickory Pick’N Day, as many vendors from around the area came out to set up shop, ready to welcome customers.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there were more than 100 vendors in the parking lot and in the store selling clothing, shoes, jewelry, food, handmade items, honey and more, while there were also musical entertainment and food trucks for all to enjoy.

Hickory Pick’N Day is held every year, as director of Hickory Pick’N Day, Shelby Harris shares more about the changes it has undergone and how she feels.

“I feel blessed because with the number of vendors that we have, they’re all different, and for them to bring it to us is just the highlight of our year, because this is my community baby, and this is something that I look forward to changing every year it every year so people don’t realize I don’t keep the layout the same, although I should probably make it easier on myself, but I don’t. But it’s just really great to see all these different talented people coming out, and you know, in the store we have talented salespeople as well. But these people are slightly different and very cunning,” says Harris.

If you missed this year’s Hickory Pick’N Day, it will be back next year. If you’re a small business looking to secure a spot for next year, you can head over to Hickory Pick’N or the Hickory Pick’N Day group page on Facebook, and also look out for Shelby at your next event as she recruits vendors to come to to come out and get ready for next year.
