Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has announced the list of general and optional holidays for 2025 for all government offices.

The public holidays listed in Annex I also include festivals that may fall on Sundays. In addition, optional holidays are available for certain festivals, as detailed in Appendix II, even if they fall on a Sunday.

All state offices are closed on Sundays and the second Saturday of each month. However, February 8, 2025 will be a working day instead of January 15, 2025, a public holiday.

State government employees can take up to five optional vacation days in 2025, regardless of their religion. They must request these vacation days in advance.

Separate holiday guidance will be issued for schools, public sector organizations and public works staff. If certain holidays, such as Idu’l Fitar or Muharram, change due to moon sightings, updates will be announced on TV and in newspapers.
